چکیده
The present study investigates the effect of turning process parameters on surface roughness and metal removal rate (MRR) AISI 1040 steel. Twenty-seven ( L27) runs based an orthogonal array Taguchi techniques were performed grey relational analysis method was later applied to determine a most favourable setting. Apart from this, variance (ANOVA) conducted statically identify significant parameters. Cutting speed, feed, depth cut, nose radius carefully selected as input parameters, while material output respectively. Various plots curves have been drawn various roughness, rate, grade. From result, it observed that Taguchi-based approach can be effectively used structured optimize results range show cutting speed has effect, followed by feed cut.

Production rates play important role in the turnover of any industry. In order to increase the production rates, industrial processes are need to be speedup by speeding input parameters such as cutting speeds, feed rates etc. But with the higher speeds and feeds the heat generation also increases between tool-chip, tool and work piece interfaces, which reduce the tool life, product quality and ...
